Think Thank Thunk

Bright ideas for parents, teachers and other points of light

About

The Art and Science of raising our children

(and keeping our sanity).

Parenting and teaching is like walking a tightrope—you’re constantly making little adjustments as you go. Think Thank Thunk is the pole you can carry along to help you balance.

Why Think Thank Thunk?

  • Think: Represents all the cool stuff related to the mind and body–all the fascinating research about the brain and relationships and learning.
  • Thank: Represents the importance of attitude in all this.
  • Thunk: Is just silliness. Just because something’s important doesn’t make it serious. The solar system is important, but it still has Uranus.

Between the hype of the self-helpsters, the hoopla of politicians, and the hubbub of the media, there’s a quiet section of the population called, “normal people.”

Many of these are parents or teachers. Others may not label themselves that way, but end up doing basically the same thing. These people may be more comfortable calling themselves, managers, coaches, leaders, or consultants.

Regardless, the bottom line is that we’re out in the field, the trenches, the front lines–making the world go ’round every day.

Chris Wondra is a normal dad and teacher, who just happens to be working toward his M.Ed. He actually knows very little. Still, learning fascinates him. So he’s constantly on the prowl for bright ideas that make things a little easier for parents, teachers and other points of light.
